New on Netflix this week: The sequel to a fantasy horror hit, competition for “Jumanji” & replenishment for “Yellowstone” fans – Kino News

Some promising films and series await you on Netflix in the next few days, including “The Werewolves of Mirkwood,” in which Jean Reno follows in the footsteps of “Jumanji” and Dwayne Johnson. But that’s not all.

Like every Sunday, today we’ll tell you which films and series you can look forward to on Netflix in the coming week. Like (almost) every week, things get off to a rather slow start before you can look forward to some promising titles from Wednesday onwards – such as the fantasy adventure “The Werewolves of Mirkwood”, which is a fun “Jumanji” variant based on the party game of the same name promises to be. Without further ado, here are the top Netflix reboots of the week of October 21-27, 2024:

Monday and Tuesday: Slow start

Netflix has not yet announced any other titles for Monday and Tuesday apart from the comedy special “Hasan Minhaj: Off With His Head”. Wednesday: Jean Reno on the trail of Dwayne Johnson

As already announced, it will appear on Wednesday The werewolves of Mirkwood with, among others, Jean Reno. The model here is the board game of the same name, which some of you have probably already played in different variations and under different names.

The plot revolves around a family who, at the suggestion of their father (Franck Dubosc), unenthusiastically agree to a game of “werewolves” and then suddenly find themselves in the medieval game world, which is haunted by bloodthirsty monsters. Thursday: Netflix makes its own “Yellowstone”

“Yellowstone” is a real series phenomenon that found a large audience here, not least thanks to Netflix. So what could be more obvious for Netflix than to quickly produce its own “Yellowstone”?

Friday: Fantasy horror and more

Friday is often the day with the most Netflix reboots and it is the same this week: The biggest launch is probably the second season of the fantasy horror series “Hellboundwhich is finally continuing after three years now. Netflix has not yet announced any new starts for Saturday and Sunday either. Here too, we will of course keep you updated if this changes.
