‘New Skov Olsen’: “Club Brugge dream come true”

Club Brugge has attracted many young foreign players to The Nest in recent years. There they will get opportunities at Club NXT and Blauw-Zwart hopes that a number of boys can advance to the first team. One player is gradually making a name for himself, also in Denmark.

Club Brugge signed Tobias Lund from Odense two years ago for no less than 500,000 euros. He was barely 16 years old at the time, so quite a hefty transfer fee for a teenager. This season, the wing attacker is a permanent fixture in the Challenger Pro League, where he has not yet managed to score in seven matches and has provided one assist.

The youngster is also an international player for Denmark’s U19 side. Lund Jensen spoke to Tipsbladet about his breakthrough at Club Brugge. “When the opportunity arose to move to Club, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. It was a dream come true,” he says.

Happy in Bruges

He is developing well and is satisfied in Bruges. “We have a great training facility. It’s very professional and the landscape is a bit different than in Denmark,” the player said.

The youngster hopes to develop further and eventually break through at Club Brugge. That won’t be immediate for a while. After all, with Andreas Skov Olsen there is a fellow countryman in his position, although he is linked to AC Milan. Although Italian media often link players to AC Milan, although this is mainly in collaboration with certain agents.
