New York Giants forward Andrew Thomas has undergone surgery for a Lisfranc foot injury and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season. Coach Brian Daboll expressed sympathy for Thomas, who is expected to be fit by next spring’s OTAs.
The injury occurred in the third quarter of last game week’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The left tackle continued to play, but felt severely impaired. Thomas has been a key member of the Giants’ offensive line this season, posting an 88.9 percent pass block win rate.
The loss is a major setback as he had already missed seven games last year due to a hamstring injury. Joshua Ezeudu, a 2022 third-round pick, will likely fill in for him while Evan Neal sits on the bench as a reserve tackle.
