The team from the Big Apple lost 20:23 to the Buffalo Bills in their own stadium on Tuesday night and suffered their third defeat in a row.
“We have to keep going,” demanded veteran Rodgers after the defeat: “That was a golden opportunity. You win some games in the NFL, and some you give away. That was a gift.” He also criticized some referee decisions as “very bad”.
Rodgers, who had missed almost the entire preseason due to a torn Achilles tendon, was unable to prevent his fourth defeat of the season in the sixth game with two touchdown passes and a total of 294 yards of space – although the 40-year-old did a spectacular “Hail” shortly before the end of the first half Mary”, i.e. a desperation throw with the clock running out, to his receiver Allen Lazard had been successful.
