Noel hit a home run in the ninth inning, when the Guardians were one out away from trailing 3-0 in the American League Championship SeriesDavid Fry did the same in the tenth and Cleveland tightened the duel against the New York Yankeesby beating them on Thursday 7-5 in an electrifying game.
Now, however, Cleveland has gotten closer to 2-1 and can tie the series with a victory in game four, scheduled for this Friday. The Guardians did not throw in the towel and continue fighting to end the longest drought without winning the World Serieswhich dates back to 1948. Right now, the feeling is that anything is possible.
