NFL: Davante Adams traded to Jets

The New York Jets have acquired the services of wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, several media reported Tuesday.

In return, the Raiders would have received a conditional third-round draft pick that could become a second-round pick, according to Adam Schefter.

The trade comes the day after the Jets’ 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Jets, who are 2-4, are hoping Adams’ reunion with quarterback Aaron Rodgers will help them return to success.

Adams spent the first eight seasons of his career with Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, appearing in five Pro Bowl games and being named to the First All-Star team twice.

The Raiders acquired Adams from the Packers in a mega deal in March 2022, giving up first and second round picks in return.
