The Jets acquired Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. In return, they gave up a conditional third-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and it could become a second-round pick.

“We’re back, man,” Adams said after briefly joining Rodgers at the Jets’ practice facility in Florham Park, N.J., for the star quarterback’s weekly appearance on the show The Pat McAfee Show.

“We’re back,” he repeated.

All this, however, is conditional on a medical examination to which Adams must undergo. Both teams confirmed the transaction a few hours later.

Adams, who is 31, will provide a big boost to the Jets’ offense, which has been erratic so far this season. He will join Garrett Wilson in New York, which will allow Rodgers to count on two leading space forwards. They will bolster the Jets’ offense, which also counts on wide ends Mike Williams, Allen Lazard and Xavier Gipson, tight end Tyler Conklin and running backs Breece Hall and Braelon Allen.

Adams, who missed the Raiders’ last three games with a hamstring injury, had asked the Raiders to be traded – and the Nevada team has made no secret of its inclination to do so.

He will now be back with Rodgers, the quarterback with whom he had his moments of glory during eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers.
