Is it the final piece of the puzzle on the way to a historic third Super Bowl title in a row? Hopkins has been a hot commodity on the NFL trade market in recent days – and now, according to consistent reports from well-known NFL insiders, he is close to joining the champions. The Chiefs are acquiring the 32-year-old from the Titans for a fifth-round pick, which could also become a fourth-round pick depending on success.
How great the Chiefs need at the receiver position was shown on Sunday 28:18 win at the San Francisco 49ers. Given the failures of Rashee Rice, Marquise Brown and then JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mahomes hardly had any viable pass receivers left. The quarterback had two interceptions, one of which was because rookie receiver Xavier Worthy slipped. In the end, despite the win, Mahomes had the worst passer rating in his NFL career (44.4).

Trade Deadline am 5. November
Last week, the Chiefs had to watch prominent receivers being traded: Davante Adams moved from the Las Vegas Raiders to the floundering New York Jets, Amari Cooper (Cleveland Browns) joined the Buffalo Bills, a direct competitor of the Chiefs.
Players in the NFL can still change until the trade deadline on November 5th.
