NFL: Tennessee Titans release Jamal Adams

The <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/influential-nfl-players-of-2021/" title="Influential NFL Players Of 2021″>Tennessee Titans confirmed the release of veteran safety Jamal Adams from his contract on Thursday.

Acquired in July when he accepted a one-season contract with the team, Adams asked the organization to give him the chance to carve out a position elsewhere, having only played on twenty defensive sequences since the start of the season.

Since his release by the Seahawks last summer, Adams has dealt with some health issues and missed a large portion of Titans camp. This explains its low usage according to a source close to the team interviewed by ESPN.

The sixth overall pick in the 2017 draft (by the Jets), Adams had a stretch from 2018 to 2020 where he was an NFL All-Star for the Jets and then the Seahawks.

In his eighth season in the circuit, he would be looking for a fourth team while he says he is in great shape and ready to contribute, even without being a starter.
