Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions)
In week four, Amon-Ra St. Brown scored a touchdown in the Detroit Lions’ 42-29 win over the Seattle Seahawks. In total, the wide receiver had six receptions and 45 yards.
This week, however, St. Brown had a breather as the Lions were in their bye week.
The 24-year-old can prove himself again in week six when Detroit takes on the Dallas Cowboys.
Brandon Coleman (Washington Commanders)
The Commanders were able to celebrate a 34:13 win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, their fourth win in a row. Brandon Coleman also had a significant influence on this.
When protecting quarterback Jayden Daniels, the German rookie once again caused enthusiasm with his incredible speed despite weighing 145 kilograms.
The 23-year-old has recently been able to improve week after week. Working with fellow tackle Cornelius Lucas, Coleman managed to leave Browns star Myles Garrett without any relevant stats at the end of the game. This had only happened once before to the defensive end in his NFL career.

Jakob Johnson (New York Giants)
The New York Giants celebrated a 29:20 win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5, but Jakob Johnson had no part in it. The fullback was not called up to the active squad for the match day.
After his odyssey between the active squad, practice squad and free agency, the 29-year-old is currently on the practice squad of “Big Blue”.

Thanks to an exemption, it does not count against the 16 available places.
It happens exactly like Metz Kilian Zierer. He also was not selected in the 2023 draft. He then went to the Texans as an undrafted free agent. Although he was able to impress in the training camp, a serious injury meant that the season ended early. Last April, the franchise assigned him the international squad spot for 2024. And again Zierer was the focus. The Texans wanted to see what he could do in preparation. In the last game against the Rams, he was one of three players who was on the field for all offensive snaps. The bottom line was that he played a strong 151 snaps. Still, it wasn’t enough for the 53-man squad. At least: He keeps the International Practice Squad spot and is therefore still part of the franchise.
In the 2024 draft Julius Welschof not selected, but subsequently very much so. The defensive end, who is already 27 years old and comes from the University of North Carolina, was signed as a free agent by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was able to collect a lot of positive points in the preseason. He had a total of three sacks, two of which came in the final duel with the Detroit Lions. What’s more: Before the last preseason game, Welschof had collected the most snaps of all players, 100 in total. He completed 88 of them in defense, which is also where he received the most playing time. But then came the shock: Welschof injured his knee. Devery Hamilton signed a so-called “reserve/futures contract” with the Pittsburgh Steelers in January. Last summer he tore his triceps in training, which is why his 2023 season ended prematurely. The Lions signed him this summer, but the 29-year-old injured his Achilles tendon in the preseason.
