NHL Results Recap: Šimon Nemec’s Absence & Tatar’s Goal Drought (October 26)

NEW YORK. Šimon Nemec was only a healthy substitute in New Jersey’s second game in a row. After the return of the injured Brett Pesce and Luke Hughes, he did not fit into coach Sheldon Keefe‘s lineup again.

His compatriot Tomáš Tatar, who did not score against the New York Islanders, started in the “Devils” jersey. He scored one shot, three hits and spent seven and a half minutes on the ice.

The Devils lost to the Isles 3-4 after overtime, in which Bo Horvat decided after 69 seconds.

The head coach of the “Devils” Sheldon Keefe pointed out the inflated schedule of his team.

“It was our ninth game in the last 16 days. It’s a tough schedule and it’s almost unheard of. We looked like a team that didn’t practice much.

During these 16 days, we had only two training sessions. We played the third duel in four days and getting a point in it is really encouraging,” the 44-year-old Canadian coach told the official portal of the competition.

Hockey players Vegas Golden Knights turned the game against Ottawa in the very end. Three more minutes and 11 seconds before the end of the regular playing time, they were losing 3:4, but in the end they prevailed three times and won 6:4.

For the second time in the club’s history, they won a game in regular time, in which they were still losing with five minutes to go.

Barbashev scored two goals in the match and Pietrangelo had three assists.

Chicago lost to Nashville 2-3. 19-year-old Connor Bedard scored his 24th career goal. He tied Bobby Hull and Jonathan Toews for the most goals scored by a teenager in club history. Only Eddie Olczyk (49) and Patrick Kane (29) were better.

Bedard can attack this pair until the end of the season. He will not celebrate his twentieth birthday until July 17.

Edmonton won the third of the past five duels and did not concede for the first time this year.

Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner stopped 27 shots against Pittsburgh and recorded his first clean sheet of the season and fifth overall in the pro league.

“We played a really good game from start to finish. It started with the play in the defensive zone where we were able to take advantage of some offense. That’s usually how it starts for us when we’re solid on defense,” Skinner said.

After a dominant performance in which they threatened the opponent’s goal up to 50 times, “Olejári” triumphed 4:0.

Evan Bouchard and Mattias Ekholm both scored a goal and an assist, Viktor Arvidsson had a balance of 0+3. Leon Draisaitl scored the winning goal in the 33rd minute.

The star Connor McDavid did not score in the home jersey. The Penguins failed for the fourth time in a row.
