Nickolace Denis-Fouché was finally arrested

Murder in Terrebonne

After several weeks on the run, Nickolace Denis-Fouché, 22, was arrested by American authorities while trying to cross the border between British Columbia and the United States.

The Sûreté du Québec‘s Crimes Against Persons Investigation Department confirmed his arrest on the morning of October 10. He was wanted for the murder of Maxime Jean, which occurred in Terrebonne last July. The young adult appeared in Vancouver, where he remained detained while awaiting his repatriation to Quebec.

Let’s remember the facts

This arrest marks an important step in the investigation into the murder of Maxime Jean. The latter, aged 22, was seriously injured during an altercation in a park in Terrebonne, located on rue Marcel De la Sablonnière, on July 18, 2024. Transported to hospital in critical condition, he died five days later, July 23.

The arrest of Nickolace Denis-Fouché comes a month after that of Emmanuel Mbong Boughaé, 24, also from Terrebonne, who was also wanted for this murder. The suspect was arrested in Whitby, Ontario, on September 6 thanks to the cooperation of the Durham Regional Police Service. Since then, he has been detained in Quebec.
