The coach from Pontevedra was in the Spanish capital to participate, along with athletes such as Melania Rodríguez, European and world double mini-tramp champion, in the tribute competition to the gymnast María Herranz, who died in April at the age of 17 from blame for meningitis.
As Melania Rodríguez’s coach, Hinójar achieved world gold in double mini-tramp on several occasions, closing the triple crown last April, when the Galician combined the titles of European champion, world champion and World Games champion. in this modality.
As national trampoline coach, the Spanish double mini-tramp team was proclaimed world team champion in Sofia 2022, runner-up in the world in Birmingham 2023 and European champion in Guimarães 2024. In the national acrobatics team, he led the team to achieve the titles of runner-up in Europe and runner-up in the world, the latter this year in Guimarães (Portugal).
