In Barcelona there is a professor named Paco Seirullo, 78, who is revered like a guru by some football greats. Above all others: from Pep Guardiola, 53, once a student of Seirullo and now a coach at Manchester City. Seirullo, in the Catalan spelling Seirul·lo, originally came from athletics and worked for decades as a fitness coach for FC Barcelona, in handball and football. He was laid off in 2022 as part of austerity measures.
