With the aim of promoting inclusive and adapted sport, the Paralympic Festival was held with complete success at the headquarters of the Autonomous University of Encarnación (UNAE). This event, which was supported by the Municipality of Encarnación, brought together a wide variety of athletes with different types of disabilities, who participated in various sports disciplines designed to highlight their abilities and demonstrate the ability of sport to overcome barriers.

The festival included competitions in wheelchair rugby, futsal for the blind, goalball, low-level soccer, as well as para athletics, swimming, bocce, karate, rowing, badminton and other disciplines. Each of these modalities is adapted so that participants can compete on equal terms, showing a high level of skill and sportsmanship.

The day began with an opening ceremony in which the importance of inclusion and the role of sport as a tool to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities was highlighted.

The attendees, including family members of the athletes, students and the general public, applauded each of the sports demonstrations. In addition to the competitions, the event served as a space for the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of the Paralympic community in the region.

With a highly positive balance, the Paralympic Festival in Encarnación is consolidated as a benchmark in the promotion of inclusive sports, and it is expected that this initiative will continue in the coming years, motivating more people to participate and enjoy adapted sports.
