Beerschot is still in dire straits, but after the victory over Anderlecht, Dirk Kuijt‘s team has at least given itself some breathing space. The Katwijker reacted proudly after the match.
‘People look purely at scores, but they have no idea where this club comes from and what situation we are in. “If you look at the budgets we work with compared to Anderlecht, this is a fantastic achievement,” he continued. ‘We must now be able to continue this and then very great things are possible in football.’
Next Friday Beerschot will take on KV Kortrijk away.
