Persib is unbeatable and fertile in League 1, this is what Bojan Hodak said

Bandung, VIVA – Persib Bandung successfully beat Persebaya Surabaya with a final score of 2-0. The eighth week of League 1‘s match took place at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Friday 18 October 2024.

Persib’s two winning goals were contributed by Edo Febriansyah in the 21st minute and Ciro Alves in the 71st minute.

With this victory, Persib moved up to second place in the League 1 standings with 16 points. They are one point adrift of Persebaya as the top of the standings.

Apart from that, the Maung Bandung Squad was an undefeated team until the eighth week of League 1. With details of four wins and four draws.

Persib coach, Bojan Hodak, said he was proud of his team’s achievements so far. He also reminded that Persib is currently the most productive team in terms of scoring goals.

“Good, don’t forget that we are the team with the most goals scored. And we appeared without David. So I think this is good,” Bojan told reporters.

“I have said, we appeared without six players (last season’s core), I also conveyed this at the press conference before the match,” he added.

This coach from Croatia said that after winning League 1 last season, Persib had to lose several of its main pillars, such as Alberto Rodriguez and Stefano Beltrame.

Then in the last few matches, Persib appeared without David da Silva, Rezaldi Hehanussa and Febri Hariyadi who were injured. Plus, Marc Klok missed three matches due to Komdis sanctions.

“So we played more than half the teams (which is different from last season). We can still win and be in the top two or three. I think this is fantastic,” he said.

“Then in the two Champions League matches, we were fairly even and I just hope that all the injured players can recover and we continue the season like this,” he continued.
