Few artists are as recognizable as Pharrell Williams: singer, musician, record producer and, above all, designer, Pharrell is proof that bringing different talents together, and being able to bring them forward successfully, is possible. His work as creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear was able to create quite a bit of hype around the French luxury brand, giving it that street, urban, yet extremely sophisticated allure, which in a short time made Louis Vuitton desired even by new generations.
The famous brand has become an all-round part of the singer/designer’s life, and not just at work; Pharrell sports a Vuitton total look practically at every moment of his day, both on public and private occasions, as demonstrated by the shots that immortalized him last night, October 8, 2024, in the streets of New York.
Williams, season after season, also seems to become fond of one “uniform” in particular, a total look – obviously signed by Louis Vuitton – which he tends to show off repeatedly on various occasions. If until a few months ago it seemed he couldn’t separate himself from his cowboy hat, at the moment Pharrell seems to prefer more daily and calm outfits, where the colors and logos still remain a constant of the look.
We had already seen him wearing this outfit during the Loewe fashion show last September 2024 and, once again, the designer appears to have stylistic coherence with his own wardrobe. Bright blue leather jacket, flared jeans, aqua green baseball cap, sneakers and the inevitable Vuitton trunk carried in his hands, Pharrell has defined the favorite uniform of the new autumn season. Those who argue that creatives must indulge themselves every time with always different outfits will have to think again; many creative directors and personalities from the world of art and music prefer to show off recognizable and personal looks, a sort of uniform that can make them unique and iconic over time. There is no doubt that Pharrell Williams is of this school of thought, and that he himself has chosen to be, first and foremost, the strongest and most incisive testimonial of his brand.
