The III Memorial Robert Fontana U23 starts off on the right foot for Piacenza Baseball. In fact, the red and whites won away (8-2) against Crocetta Parma who up to that point were still unbeaten. Not at all rusty from the fact of having postponed their debut in the tournament several times due to bad weather, Piacenza provided a noteworthy performance despite having to chase the home team’s temporary 1-0 lead from the 2nd inning onwards . From the 3rd inning the Piacenza team left their mark on the derby by scoring 7 points in two attacks that practically decided the match.
