Pogba at OM, the event that changes everything

Pogba at OM, the event that changes everything

After having managed to seduce Adrien Rabiot, Medhi Benatia could well convince Paul Pogba to take up the Marseille challenge.

It’s quite a twist:
the announced return to business of Paul Pogba
who most recently saw his four-year suspension for testosterone doping reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). From next January, “La Pioche” will therefore be authorized to resume training, then to play again in an official match from March 2025.

Obviously, the return of such a monster on the field is enticing. Especially since his future at Juventus, the club to which he is bound for now until 2026is written in dotted lines. Thiago Motta a priori does not count on his talents, and the French international for his part did not really appreciate the lack of support from the Bianconeri in the ordeal he has just gone through.

The ideal replacement for Carboni

Very quickly, the rumor of the interest of a gluttonous OM capable of attracting into his nets a certain Adrien Rabiot – also ex-Turin – came out, fueled in particular by Patrice Evra who knows Paul Pogba by heart. The latter has never hidden his attraction to Marseille and the feasibility of such a marriage has undoubtedly never been so concrete. Normally out of reach for the L1 – if not PSG – the 2018 world champion could be inclined to make unprecedented concessions to relaunch his career.

According to La Provence, Medhi Benatia is well aware of this since the person concerned has already made contact with Paul Pogba – without taking a position at this stage. The probable return to the sender of Valentin Carboni, on loan from Inter for the season but seriously injured in a knee these days in the Argentine selection, leaves the way open to the upcoming arrival of a new element to strengthen the midfielder of the team led by Roberto De Zerbi. The Pogba bet, in fact, can be tempting for OM who seem to have decided to no longer let the slightest opportunity for growth pass them by.
