President Tatar, who took part in the “3 Minutes of Darkness for Justice” action organized by the Champion Angels Keeping Alive Association, watched the demonstration match played by the Wheelchair Basketball Teams.

In his speech at the promotion night, President Ersin Tatar stated that BRTK is the voice of the Turkish Cypriots and that thanks to BRT, the voice of the people was heard to the world.

Stating that BRT has always been needed to promote the country, President Tatar pointed out that new technologies should be followed in the communication age, and emphasized that investments were made within the means of the state and that BRT should be strengthened.

President Tatar also touched upon the lawsuit process of the Champion Angels who lost their lives at Adıyaman İsias Hotel in the earthquake that occurred in Turkey on February 6, 2023, and said, “We carry the pain of the Champion Angels in our hearts. The government and the state are on the side of the families. Rebellion is our common cause. “We want justice to be served,” he said.

President Tatar pointed out the importance of giving more space to disabled individuals in the new broadcast period, which will be held with the slogan “We are overcoming obstacles”; He emphasized the importance of the Mustafa Çelik Wheelchair Basketball Memorial Tournament, in which Fenerbahçe Istanbul Jet, TSK Rehabilitation and Tosyalı Iskenderun teams participated, as well as the Foundations Wheelchair Basketball Team.

Wishing success in the new broadcasting period, President Tatar thanked those who worked at BRT and commemorated those who were deceased.
