PSv recorded a big 6-0 win over PEC Zwolle, which played the entire second half with one man less. Fortuna Sittard won in the final phase with a clumsy own goal against FC Groningen and NAC Breda defeated bottom RKC Waalwijk by a wide margin: 4-1. Finally, SC Heerenveen also managed to book a victory. Sparta Rotterdam was defeated 2-0.

Fortuna Sittard managed to beat FC Groningen with quite a bit of fortune. The match between the two teams seemed to be heading for a goalless draw for quite some time, but in the final phase things went terribly wrong for the Groningen team.
Routine Leandro Bacuna wanted to shoot the ball over his own goal from close range, but this failed. Instead, he shot the ball into his own goal via the underside of the crossbar. FC Groningen tried to prevent a defeat in the remaining minutes, but failed in this mission.

After a number of inferior results, SC Heerenveen managed to book a 2-0 home win over Sparta Rotterdam. Robin van Persie’s team quickly took the lead through Nikolai Soyset Hopland. In the second half, Jacob Trenskow doubled the score with a striking bang. With the victory, the Frisians distance themselves from the relegation zone for the time being.
