DIBRUGARH, OCT 30: The <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2024/10/354-players-to-participate-in-all-india-sub-junior-ranking-badminton-tournament-in-dibrugarh-from-oct-25/" title="354 players to participate in All India Sub-Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament in Dibrugarh from Oct 25″>Yonex-Sunrise All India Sub-Junior (Under-13) Ranking Badminton Tournament – 2024 concluded in Dibrugarh with exciting finals on Wednesday, showcasing the exceptional talent of young shuttlers from across the nation. Rajasthan’s promising player Satvik Agrawal triumphed in the boys’ singles, while Assam’s Bedagni Gogoi claimed victory in the girls’ singles.
In a thrilling boys’ singles final, Agrawal faced Anikesh Dutta from Assam. The match was a nail-biter, with Agrawal clinching the title by scores of 24-22 and 21-19.
Assam’s Bedagni Gogoi also delivered an impressive performance, defeating Uttarakhand’s Avni Makhloga in the girls’ singles final with scores of 21-16 and 21-19.
In the boys’ doubles, the duo of Harshit Gogoi and Raihan Zaman from Assam emerged victorious against Aashray Agarwal (Uttarakhand) and Jayesh Duggal (Haryana), winning both sets 21-19. Meanwhile, in the girls’ doubles, Karnataka’s Hamsa Muralidhara and Mahitha Surisetty defeated Kimkim Khongsai (Nagaland) and Anya Proddatur (Telengana) with a score of 21-11 and 21-19.
The tournament, held from October 25 to 30, was organised by the Dibrugarh District Sports Association (DDSA) under the aegis of Assam Badminton Association and the Badminton Association of India, attracting 354 talented players from across the country.
