Ulm‘s Noa Essengue shines with 20 points

Two top Ulm talents in particular made an impression. With 20 points, 17-year-old Frenchman Noa Essengue showed his skills in front of the numerous NBA scouts. This increased his chances of being selected early in next year’s draft.

The Israeli Ben Saraf is also high on the list of talent scouts; he was the second highlight with 16 points. Both are considered candidates for a first-round pick.

“I’m happy with how we played,” said Portland coach Chauncey Billups: “I thought a lot of guys played well. It’s really difficult to play against teams like that, in Europe they just play very differently than we do “The movement of the ball, the body movements, the throwing – we knew they were going to go up and down, shoot a bunch of threes. It was great for us, a big challenge.”
