Konyaspor reached an agreement with Coach Recep Uçar. Konyaspor Press Spokesperson Nuri Kaymak stated that Uçar will come to Konya tomorrow to sign the contract.
Konyaspor parted ways with coach Ali Çamdalı, who was appointed as the head of the team on April 29, 2024, last Monday. The green and white management, which has not made an official statement about this so far, agreed with coach Recep Uçar to replace Çamdalı for 2 years.
After parting ways with coach Fahrudin Omerovic last season, the green-white management appointed the club’s sports director, Ali Çamdalı, as coach. After the team’s 3-1 defeat against Gaziantep FK last Sunday, the management held a meeting on Monday and decided to part ways with Ali Çamdalı. However, this decision was not officially announced.
The management quickly started searching for a new coach and signed a 2-year contract with Recep Uçar. Recep Uçar is expected to come to Konya tomorrow and sign the official contract.
On the other hand, the club’s press spokesman Nuri Kaymak said, “We terminated the mutual contract with Ali Çamdalı. We will make an official statement tomorrow. “We will sign a 2-year contract with Recep Uçar,” he said.
VOLKAN DEMİREL’S NAME WAS MENTIONED
It was claimed that the Super League team included Volkan Demirel and Recep Uçar on the list instead of Çamdalı. While Demirel reached an agreement with Bodrumspor, Recep Uçar shook hands with Konyaspor.
