The renovation works of the Camilo José Cela parkwith a budget of 350.000 euros to create a large children’s area in the Torrecederia area. As the mayor explained, the installation of an anti-impact rubber floor is planned, as well as the placement of games such as a trampoline, a swing, a see-saw or a climbing set, among others.
This remodeling, which is expected to be completed at the beginning of 2025, includes the repair of the sports court with new goals and benches. In the bio-healthy area, the pavement and elements for exercising will be renewed. In addition, the lighting will be renewed and trash cans, benches, a fountain and all signage will be installed.
Governing Board
The Governing Board approved the aids for high level athletes with a budget of 49,000 euros for 43 athletes, 15 are women and 28 men. The objective is to support athletes who practice 15 sports modalitiesincluding adapted sports: fencing, triathlon, Olympic shooting, sailing, athletics, taekwondo, squash, trampoline gymnastics, swimming, badminton, speed skating, mountaineering, table tennis or climbing. Caballero estimated the sports budget for 2025 at 19 million euros, almost a million more than last year.
