Results of the DJB general meeting on October 12, 2024 in Hamburg

On October 12th, 2024, the representatives of the 18 regional associations and members with special tasks met for the DJB general meeting in Hamburg.

Groundbreaking proposals and elections were on the packed agenda.

After the opening and welcoming, as well as approval of last year’s minutes, the HJV was immediately pleased with great news. The DJB Honorary Council appointed Willi Moritz as an honorary member and also appointed him directly to the Honorary Council to fill the vacancy in the South-West group. (we reported in detail: Willi Moritz was elected as an honorary member and onto the honorary council of the DJB)

Stephan Bode was also appointed as an honorary member and new honorary council member as the retiring DJB referee.

The Honor Council continued to award Dan degrees and honorary badges to deserving judoka.

After the reports from the presidium, the board members and speakers, as well as their discussion, the board and presidium were discharged.

The regular new elections took place, for which more detailed information is available on the DJB website (THOMAS SCHYNOL REMAINS DJB PRESIDENT).

Now it was time for the applications. Several linguistic adjustments to the statutes were approved and votes began to change the competition regulations.

In the first application it was decided that Minors to weigh always at least one pair of underpants (boys) or underpants and a T-shirt (girls) have to wear. There will be one for both of them Weight tolerance of 100g awarded. In the U15 and younger must both genders in Judo pants and t-shirt on the scales. One applies here Weight tolerance of 500g.

As the next proposal, the general meeting voted in favor of it by a majority U13 one Recommendation for the pool system in weight-related groups to pronounce. However, it was also confirmed again that each regional association can still decide to fight in weight classes and that the deletion of the rigid weight class requirements can be used to define their own weight classes.

For the U15 were the Weight classes in the competition order for the Recommendation of weight-related groups added. However, the existing weight classes have not been deleted here.

In the U11 were also weight-related groups agreed by the majority in the competition regulations.

There was controversy about replacing the previous one Youth Cup U15 through one U15 Mixed Team Championship. The majority approved this new system and the U15 Mixed replaces the U15 Youth Cup m/f. At the same time, the male and female weight classes were also defined:

U15 Mixed Male: -43, -50, -60, +60kg

U15 Mixed Female: -40, -48, -57, +57kg

For U15 team championships, the majority of the seeding has also been changed. So may now no judoka more in the next higher weight class be elevated.

For the new one German Youth Cup Mixed U15 they qualify first four teams of the group championships. Qualification via the group championship has now been anchored in the competition regulations.

The last point of this application from the DJB youth assembly regulates this Team compositions. In the U18 a club has to now at least 4 weight classes have occupied and maximum 12 judoka report/weigh in in the team.

In the newly created U15 Mixed Team Championship Every club can do up to three external starters report from your own association or one Fighting community get involved with another club. Must in the U15 mind. 4 Weight classes must be filled and the team is allowed to max. 16 Judoka include.

The last major request to the competition regulations was this Qualification guidelines. In the U18 they qualify Places 1-3 to the group German club team championship and the Places 5-7 for the German club team cup.

There were a few changes in the responsibilities, which are regulated in the competition regulations, in order to regulate the new organizational structure of the DJB in the form of the presidium, board and speakers. These were accepted by the majority.

The next big change was this Passordnung des DJBwhich was developed in several meetings of the regional associations and regulates the introduction of the digital judo pass. After a short presentation and a discussion, this new order was adopted majority agreed.

The digitale Judo-Pass will therefore officially expire when the 2024 annual sight mark expires DJB level mandatory. This means athletes have to leave from March 1st, 2025 Group level have a digital judo pass.

Hesse will use the full transition periodwhich the new passport regulations enable and will continue to operate hybrid for sports traffic until December 31, 2025. We have already requested detailed information from the DJB about the provision of physical products for 2025.

The request from the Lower Saxony Judo Association that Clubs always belong to the national association must be registered to which they are geographically assigned are, became rejected by the majority.

An application for an editorial change to the youth regulations and an application to change the training regulations were approved.

The increase in the judge’s flat rate at German championships and the equalization of daily allowances for kata judges with referees was approved.

A graduation system for ID judoka was also approved.

Last but not least, the majority voted that the first representative of the members at general meetings does not have to pay a conference fee.

After the preliminary budget for 2025 was approved, all that remained was the allocation of conference locations for 2025. Here, Hesse offered the opportunity to host both the presidential meeting and the general meeting in 2025 in Hesse.
