NHL: Defeats for Sturm, Reichel and Grubauer
National ice hockey player Nico Sturm also lost the ninth game in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks. The worst team of the previous season lost 3:7 to the Vegas Golden Knights. Sturm scored the goal to make it 2:5, it was his first goal of the current season. The Sharks remain last in the Western Conference with two points.

Baseball: Dodgers win game two – Ohtani injured
After their second victory in the World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the American baseball crown in sight, but are worried about their superstar Shohei Ohtani. On Saturday evening (local time), the Dodgers beat the New York Yankees 4-2 in front of their home crowd and increased their lead to 2-0 in the Major League Baseball (MLB) final series.
Ohtani, currently the best player in the world, had to leave the field injured during his team’s second success. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts called it a “minor left shoulder subluxation.” An MRI examination should provide further information. However, Roberts was already confident that Ohtani can also appear in the rest of the series.
In the seventh inning, the 30-year-old left the pitch while holding his left arm with a bent elbow. This season, the Japanese became the first player to hit 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in one season.
Freddie Freeman, who also entered the history books with a walk-off grand slam in the first game of the World Series, was once again the decisive player in Los Angeles. In the third inning he hit a two-run home run, giving his team his second win.
The third game takes place on Monday in New York. Four wins are needed to win the title.
NBA: Orlando loses despite strong Wagner
Basketball world champion Franz Wagner suffered the first defeat of the NBA season with the Orlando Magic despite a strong performance in the third game. In the 111:124 win against the Memphis Grizzlies, the 23-year-old Berliner scored 23 points and was the best scorer of the game. His brother Moritz had nine points.
“We have to learn from it, we had too many turnovers,” said Franz Wagner: “It was better in the second half, but it’s not enough to show that for just one and a half quarters.” There, among other things, the Magic had a strong 21: 0-run.
Maximilian Kleber and the Dallas Mavericks also suffered their first defeat of the season. The team around superstar Luka Doncic lost 102:114 to the Phoenix Suns. The Slovenian was the most successful scorer in the game with 40 points and also secured ten rebounds. Kleber contributed two points.
The Los Angeles Lakers, on the other hand, are still flawless. In the third game of the season, veteran star LeBron James’ team defeated the Sacramento Kings 131:127. James excelled with 32 points, 14 rebounds and ten assists – the 142nd triple-double of his career. As on matchday 2, Bronny James, son of LeBron, did not play. At the season opener, the two made history as the first father-son duo in the NBA.
