Ronaldinho was once all the rage at PSG, FC Barcelona, AC Milan and with the Brazilian national team. Considered one of the best footballers of all time, the dribbling prodigy has been retired for some time.
In recent years, Ronaldinho has mainly been talked about for his excessive behavior and the Brazilian even spent some time in prison. Today, Ronaldinho surprises by announcing that he will make his return to the world of football.
In the footsteps of Ronaldo and Mbappé
Ronaldinho will follow in the footsteps of his compatriots Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappé and join a professional football club. American club Greenville Triumph SC announced on its official channels that Ronaldinho has joined the group of investors with whom the club has already reached an agreement.
Greenville Triumph SC is an American third division club and they hope to gain momentum with the support of Ronaldinho. The Brazilian himself has been impressed by the club.
“Greenville Triumph’s focus on youth development is impressive,” Ronaldinho told the American club’s website.
Unique blend of cultures
“For me and our group, this is an opportunity to support the growth of football at all ages and levels, and to be part of a club that values international presence and a unique blend of cultures,” Ronaldinho said.
Mbappé has already bought French second division club Caen and Ronaldo has also had shares in the past with Spanish club Valladolid and Brazilian club Cruzeiro.
