The NFL is already in week 8. This offers two special features for fans on free TV. On the one hand, the games start an hour earlier than usual, and on the other hand, RTL reports live from the west coast of the USA.
On the night of October 27th, summer time ends in Europe and the clock goes back one hour. Since the Americans always take this step with their “Daylight Saving Time” a week later, this has the advantage for us here that US sport starts an hour earlier than usual.
For RTL-spectators, this means that it starts at 5:45 p.m. Live from Seattle. You read that right, because presenter Jana Wosnitza reports with expert Sebastian Vollmer from the Lumen Field. However, this is just the preliminary run-in, because from 6 p.m. commentator Jan Stecker, expert Björn Werner and community host Mitja Lafere will report from Cologne as usual with the cracking game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals in the Queen City.
Both teams didn’t start the season quite smoothly, but while the Eagles around quarterback Jalen Hurts are struggling, especially offensively, his counterpart Joe Burrow is having an outstanding season in his own right, but the results are not right, which is why they arrive with a negative balance .
RTL broadcasts live from Seattle
At the same time, RTL+ shows the division duel in the south of the AFC between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans in Texas.* The focus is then on the meeting between the two young star quarterbacks Anthony Richardson and CJ Stroud. While Richdardson has only been able to demonstrate his skills sporadically due to injuries, Stroud is currently in the process of confirming his strong rookie season from last year.
The game will be commented on by Freddie Schulz, the expert as always is Adrian Franke. Community host Alex von Kuczkowski is also available.
The highlight of the evening will be on RTL from 9:05 p.m., as the Seattle Seahawks will host the Buffalo Bills. The Seahawks recently came back down to earth after a strong start to the season, while the Bills around Josh Allen are once again marching through the AFC East and have the Super Bowl in sight.
What’s special: RTL broadcasts live from Seattle. Commentator Florian Schmidt-Sommerfeld and expert Patrick Esume report live on site and take you into one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL.
