Here we resume the sad news, arriving respectively from the FIJLKAM Abruzzo website and from the federal president of the Karate sector, Davide Benetello, expressing heartfelt condolences to the relatives.

Farewell to Meritorious Judo Master Rolando Luccitti

Master Rolando Luccitti left us on Tuesday 29 October, a reference figure for Judo and an example of integrity and dedication to the growth of young people. A master of Judo and of life, Luccitti passionately trained generations of athletes, bringing prestige to the company he founded, the Judo Club Kodokan Chieti. With an experience that exceeds half a century, Master Luccitti has transmitted the values and techniques of Judo to numerous students, helping to spread this discipline in Abruzzo. Under his leadership, the Judo Club Kodokan Chieti has achieved significant competitive results at a regional, national and even international level.

Master Luccitti’s dedication was fundamental to the development of Judo in Chieti and throughout the region. Always active within the FIJLKAM Abruzzo Regional Committee, he collaborated in the training of managers, technicians and match officials, leaving a legacy that will continue to influence the Abruzzo sports movement. In November 2022, the FIJLKAM Federal President awarded Master Luccitti, with a motu proprio decision, the Degree of 7th Dan Black Belt in Judo, making him the only Master in Abruzzo to achieve this prestigious recognition.

With affection we embrace his family and our Silvio Tavoletta, his athlete and then close collaborator.
