The New Orleans Saints suffered their fifth defeat in their seventh game in the National Football League (NFL) and have fewer and fewer hopes of a successful season.
Against ex-successful coach Sean Payton, of all people, the Saints clearly lost at home to the Denver Broncos 10:33 – and that on the evening that quarterback Drew Brees was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame during halftime.
Payton and Brees are responsible for the team’s only Super Bowl victory. “I’m happy, of course,” said Payton after his team’s victory at his old place of work. “It was difficult to come to this stadium because so many memories were really made here. So many. But it’s about the players.”
