AC Milan were scared at home against the surprise of this Serie A season: Udinese. A nevertheless important victory (1-0) for the Rossoneri, just like Juventus against Lazio (1-0).

After two defeats in a row in all competitions – against Bayer Leverkusen and Fiorentina – AC Milan had to bounce back at home against Udinese, with Thauvin absent due to injury. The 6th in the Serie A standings lost after playing in numerical superiority for more than an hour. The fault of the red card received by Reijnders while the Udinese striker went on goal. Before this play, the Milanese had opened the scoring with Chukwueze after a service from Pulisic. Criticized since the start of the season, the Nigerian scores an important goal for his return as a starter.

Milan returns to the Top 4

This victory was not easy for the locals who played with 10 men. AC Milan even thought they would suffer a terrible disappointment after Udinese’s equalizing goal in added time. A cross from distance found a player’s head at the post. Heroically, Maignan managed to pull off an exceptional save, without avoiding the equalizer after a mix-up in the area. Fortunately for San Siro, the referee ruled out the goal for an offside position at the start of the free kick. A relief for those involved in the match who are level with Inter (one game less) in 4th place in the standings.

Juventus defeats Lazio Rome

For Thiago Motta’s men, the victory against Lazio Rome was not easy. Despite the red received by Romagnoli following a tackle from the last defender (24th), Juve one more time did not succeed in breaking the Roman barrier. Powerless for a long time against Provedel’s saves – Vlahovic found the crossbar – Juventus found the fault in the last five minutes. On a cross, Lazio central defender Mario Gila deflects the ball into his goal. The only goal of the match which allows the Turinese to be in the lead tied on points with Naples, who have a game in hand.
