Over 800 karateka from 17 nations (including India, Pakistan, Nepal, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ghana). On the first day of the competition, Saturday October 19, 2024, the younger athletes were challenged. Our karateka Noemi Gutzler, Thore Holzmayr, Elias Zwick and David Gutzler stayed calm and showed their skills despite very strong competition. Noemi achieved a very good third place in the Kata U9 category (under 9 years). Despite good performances, Thore had to settle for seventh place in the Kata U11 category. Elias, who was somewhat in poor health, started in the Kata U13 category and had to admit defeat to the strong field of participants. At the end he achieved a good seventh place. David started in the Kata U14 category and narrowly missed out on the podium. He failed in a small final and achieved an excellent 5th place.

Sunday belonged to the older athletes.

Jonas-Pascal Liedy started in two categories. Kata U 18 and Kata Senior. In the Kata U18 category he achieved a very good fifth place. Despite good performances, he was unable to prevail in the Kata Senior. After two exciting and exciting tournament days, trainer and first chairwoman of the club Heidi Holzmayr drew a very positive conclusion: “I am more than proud of our karatekas. We can rightly be pleased about the achievements shown and are very excited to see how our athletes will perform at the German Student Championships in Ludwigsburg on November 2nd.”
