Jannik Sinner is in the French capital about to debut in the ATP Rolex Paris Masters. He will do so after being crowned in the exhibition tournament held in Riyadh, the ‘Six Kings Slam‘. There, the world number 1 pocketed about $6 million, the largest prize money in tennis history. Thus, the Italian chatted with Eurosport about his little interest in money and what is truly important to him: “I don’t play for money, it’s very simple. Of course, 6 million is a lot of prize money, but I went to Riyadh because there were probably the six best players in the world and you can measure yourself against them. It was also a nice event, it was my first time in Riyadh and it was something very nice. When you come back as a winner for me it was more like: ‘okay, I played the matches correctly and this can hopefully improve me as a player for the future.’ but not that much. I live a good life even without that money. The health I have, the family I have and being surrounded by the right people is much more important. The money is just a bonus.”
