Slavia attracts a giant talent from Sweden. He played for the national team at the age of 15

Maybe you need to type his name into an internet search engine. We’ll save you the work.

Eighteen-year-old Teah currently plays for Hammarby in Sweden’s top flight. He plays in the middle of the field, but can also handle positions on the left line. And what is perhaps the most interesting? Last year, the British The Guardian ranked the young African among the 60 most talented young footballers in the world.

Three years ago, as a 15-year-old boy, he received the prime minister’s invitation to the Liberian national team. In March 2022, he became the youngest goalscorer in national team history when he scored against Burundi at the age of 15 years and 347 days.

His talent was noticed in Sweden. Hammarby, currently the fourth Allsvenskan team there, signed him last spring. It had to wait until he came of age.

Now the left-footed bachelor can move again. The Swedish newspaper Aftobladet was the first to report on the possible departure to Prague, which published that a few small things remain to be resolved before signing with Slavia.

In the country, the website infotbal.cz, which focuses on football transfers, wrote about the concerted effort to attract Teah. According to him, more famous European clubs are also interested in the young Liberian.

“The transfer with Slavia is not closed, but it is on the right track. The interest of big European clubs will play a role, which is serious,” infotbal.cz quotes sources. Information from Sport.cz speaks very similarly. The warm relations between Teah’s player representative and Slavist sports director BĂlek are positive.

The transfer price is estimated by the specialized Transfermarkt server at 300,000 euros, but in reality the amount will be many times higher. There is talk of a figure of around 3.5 million euros (less than 90 million crowns).

Slavia’s negotiators are trying to bring Teah to Eden during the winter transfer window. Even compatriot Oscar would like his arrival. In theory, Teah can be a replacement for another African at left wingback. There is enormous interest in the top-playing El Hadji Malick Diouf at the age of nineteen, and scouts from the Premier League are also coming to the Czech Republic.
