First big weekend of tournament resumption for Millavois SOM Badminton competitors. And for this first meeting, 15 players traveled to Lozère, as far as Mende.
On Saturday, mixed singles and doubles took place and a few players shone: In mixed, Alexandra Blanc and Aurélien Champagnol (vacation player at SOM Badminton) won series 6 of the mixed doubles; Clémentine Lévi and Fabrice Raynal finished second in series 3. Sarah and Jean-Claude Morceau (series 6) and Jérôme Chabert and his partner Marvejols (series 1) did not make it out of the group.
In singles, Axel Chabert won series 4. The other singles players unfortunately did not make it out of the group: Florent Guibert and Adrien Dupont in series 4; Pablo Jimenez in series 2; Jean-Baptiste Conan in series 1.
The men’s and women’s doubles took place on Sunday. No ladies entered this weekend but several male pairs:
In series 6, two Millavoise pairs fell in the semi-finals after close matches: Axel Chabert and Florent Guibert as well as Erwann Bernier and Jean-Claude Morceau. In series 3, Jean-Baptiste Conan and Léonard Tomans finished 2nd.
The other players do not come out of the group: Noël Chayrigues and Malik Laborie in series 6; in series 4 Fabrice Raynal and Pablo Jimenez; Jérôme Chabert and his partner Florian de Rodez in series 2.
Great recovery for the Millavois after the summer break in competitions!
The club is very busy, during the second week of vacation it organizes 2 days of training with a coach: one day for young people and one day for adults.
Then we welcome the 2nd day of the Departmental Youth Circuit on November 10 and finally, on the 17th, the two teams resume the departmental interclub championship.
