‘Massa è in forma’ is back, the showcase event dedicated to the promotion of sporting, amateur and recreational activities that can be practiced in the municipal area, scheduled for Sunday from 10am to 8pm in the streets and squares of the city centre. In addition to Piazza Aranci, Piazza Palma, Largo Matteotti, Via Bastione, Viale Chiesa and the atrium of the Municipality will be involved. The event is organized by the municipal administration through the Sport and Community Policies offices on the occasion of the European week for the promotion of sporting activity and is implemented in collaboration with local sports associations and the sponsorship of Fonteviva water.
The event, conceived with the aim of spreading the importance of sports practice and a correct lifestyle, allows you to discover well-known sports up close, to get to know even the less practiced ones, offers real performances and exhibitions by athletes and allows visitors to try some sports practices, equipment, moves or steps of some dance specialties. All in the open air in a festive atmosphere.
Around 35 sports associations are participating in the 2024 edition of the event with stations set up to introduce and try out the various disciplines that can be practiced in the municipal area: football, fencing, baseball, tennis, rugby, football, skating, cycling, trekking, yoga, martial arts and personal defense, boxing, volleyball but also gymnastics, athletics, fitness and the many disciplines of dance and dancing.
Also involved in the event are some sports promotion associations that will set up stands to present those activities that cannot be tested on site. ‘Massa in Forma‘ is back, the Municipality’s initiative dedicated to sport which brings activities to the streets and squares of the city. For the occasion, the administration decided to join #Beactive – European Sports Week, launched by the European Union to promote sporting activity and healthy and active lifestyles, therefore the physical and mental well-being of the citizens of the Community European.
‘Massa fit in Europe’ celebrates the city sports movement and promotes the activities of all those involved in various capacities in the diffusion of sports practice in Massa. The initiative is open to all sports associations, federations and promotional bodies. The associations that wish to participate, depending on the sporting discipline practiced, will be able to get involved.
