For Pink October, the general public awareness campaign for breast cancer screening, several Wassey associations once again mobilized, Saturday October 19, in the Wassy gymnasium.
Several actions were carried out throughout the day with the Wasseyen Judo Club, the fencing circle, the Wasseyen Basketball Sports Association (ASBW) as well as the Wasseyen Rando which welcomed more than forty walkers.
At the very beginning of the afternoon, the athletes of the day had the pleasure of welcoming Dr François Tryhoen, president of the Saint-Dizier breast surgery support association who, as he said, had done when the cyclists passed through Brousseval, recalled the simple preventive actions, emphasizing that it was easier to treat a small tumor detected very early.
He also reiterated the importance of not remaining isolated and of creating links within and outside the association. And to specify: “With a good atmosphere the risk of recurrence is reduced by half”.
