Stable Strategies: Analyzing Priske’s Consistent Approach in Probable Lineups

Tomorrow Feyenoord will resume the Eredivisie against Go Ahead Eagles. After the victories against Girona and FC Twente before the international break, the Rotterdam team wants to continue the good performances in Deventer. Brian Priske also clearly indicated Feyenoord’s mission during Friday’s press conference: “It’s time to perform!”. To achieve this, the Dane opts for certainty and will probably play with the same starting line-up as against Twente.

Priske said during the press conference that she wanted to work increasingly towards a permanent setup. “I’m trying in the last few weeks, at least before the break, to see if we can get some consistency in the team and play with roughly the same line-up. As I said, I’m trying to create consistency and relationships for at least eleven or twelve players. Then I also believe it is easier to come off the bench.”

After the victories before the international break and no new injuries in the starting team, it seems unlikely that Priske will change things in his team. 1908.nl therefore expects Feyenoord to play against Go Ahead Eagles with the same eleven players as they did against FC Twente two weeks ago.

Presumed Feyenoord line-up: Wellenreuther; Lotomba, Beelen, Hancko, Bueno; Milambo, Hwang, Timber; Osman, Ueda, Paixão.

Probable line-up of Go Ahead Eagles: Plogmann; Deijl, Nauber, Kramer, Adelgaard; Linthorst, Breum, Llansana, Adekanye, V. Edvardsen, Antman.
