After a start to the season marked by the license boom (more than two hundred licensees in one month) and “crowded” holiday courses, the Saint-Marceau/Orléans table tennis club is preparing to experience great moments at the end. of year
On Saturday October 26, it will host the first official national table tennis competition after the Paralympic Games. A prestigious competition since it is a Masters disabled sport, the first of its kind. “It’s always a source of pride to be awarded the organization of such an event. Forty-eight parapong players, twenty-four standing and twenty-four sitting, will be present and will compete for 3,000 points and 4,000 euros in prize money,” rejoices Marylène Lablée, president of the club.
A month later, from November 25 to 30, the club will open the thirteenth edition of “Let’s change our perspective on disability”, an awareness-raising action through table tennis. “The week is already complete. More than thirty-five classes have reserved their slots to experience the workshops and exchange with the champions present,” indicates Jean-Luc, the treasurer. A week that promises to be rich with lots of surprises. A live-together tournament and a “dark ping” evening will be open to as many people as possible.
