Starting signal for PLAY4SDGs | German Badminton Association

The DBV and KATE Environment & Development eV work together to implement the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations.

The German Badminton Association (DBV) is pleased to announce the start of the new project PLAY4SDGswhich is managed and implemented by KATE Environment & Development eV. As a follow-up project to the successful climate protection project “PLAY! – Surcharge for the climate“ (https://www.play4climate.de/), PLAY4SDGs also makes an important contribution to the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (https://17ziele.de/).

Over the next 16 months, the PLAY4SDGs project will focus on implementing sustainability measures, raising awareness of the 17 SDGs and training important key players (e.g. referees, coaches, association officials) in the DBV, as well as all badminton enthusiasts. For this purpose, new educational content and formats are being developed that support clubs and actors in actively integrating sustainability measures into their club activities.

With this project the SPCA and KATE Environment & Development after PLAY! continue their joint collaboration for climate protection and sustainability.

PLAY4SDGs runs until End of 2025. The project team regularly provides information about progress and presents participation opportunities for those interested.

PLAY4SDGs is funded by ENGAGEMENT GLOBAL with funds from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
