It sounds like a bet gone wrong. For 24 hours, members of the Leuven student associations run as many laps as possible in the KU Leuven Sports Campus. Every year, the event is a titanic battle between VTK and Apolloon, the student circles of Engineering Sciences and Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences.
That was no different this year. The 2 competitors seemed to be playing a game of leapfrog until the last moment. In the last half hour, Apolloon built up a lead, but VTK was still able to cross the finish line first. A huge celebration broke out, because it is the first time since 2017 that VTK can beat their great rival.
