The break-in happened on Saturday night when Douglas was playing for Juventus against Lazio and Alisha was preparing for Sunday’s Women’s League clash with Inter. When Douglas returned home, he found the house in disarray with things thrown about. When the police arrived, he reported that the thieves had stolen eleven luxury watches and several diamond necklaces, he reported Daily Star.
Alisha shared the situation on Instagram, where she has more than 16 million followers. According to the Daily Star, thanks to sponsored posts on this social network, he can earn almost 240,000 euros for each post.
Last month, the athlete complained about the big pay gap between men’s and women’s football. In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, she said: “I often tell Douglas after training that it’s just unfair. We do the same job, but he makes a hundred thousand times more than me. I’m exaggerating a bit, but it’s true. Equality of pay between men and women still does not exist, even in this day and age.”
