The Yoshinryu Judo dojo of Bordighera celebrated its 20 years of activity with a high-level technical internship, held on 19 and 20 October at the Palasport E. Biancheri. The event was attended by Master Jacques Seguin, eighth Dan of the French judo federation, who had already attended the inauguration of the dojo in 2004, making his return particularly significant. The stage attracted around 60 athletes and technicians from Genoa, the province of Imperia and also from Belgium, in two days of intense activity, which saw a large participation of young people and adults.

Under the guidance of Master Seguin, the participants worked on judo techniques standing (tachi waza) and on the ground (ne waza), with a series of exercises that amazed with their variety and depth. A particularly appreciated moment was the one dedicated to the technical questions of the participants, who were able to discuss directly with Maestro Seguin on specific aspects of their technical path. In particular, many young athletes were able to receive valuable advice on situations that they found difficult to manage.

The event also had an important institutional relevance: the sports councilor of the City of Bordighera, Walter Sorriento, attended on behalf of the municipal administration and presented a commemorative plaque to Maestro Seguin, as a sign of recognition for his contribution to judo and for the long collaboration with the Yoshinryu dojo. Among the guests of honor were Maestro Luigi Michele De Maria, seventh Dan of FIJLKAM, and Maestro Lucio Garzia, provincial delegate of UISP, who contributed with their experience and presence to the success of the event.

Master Giacomo Bovenzi, founder and technical owner of Yoshinryu Judo Bordighera, expressed deep emotion at the presence on the tatami of so many Masters who have marked his judo career, such as Master Oriano Cappellin of the Judo Club Aiseau Presles of Belgium. Unfortunately, some other significant technicians, such as Ciano Fornari and Pino Polichi, were unable to be present.

The event, organized under the aegis of FIJLKAM and UISP, represented not only a moment of technical growth for the participants, but also an important opportunity to celebrate the 20 years of history of the Yoshinryu dojo, which continues to grow as point of reference for judo in Liguria and beyond.

A fundamental role in the success of the event was played by the provincial UISP, which offered valuable organizational support. Thanks to their collaboration, the stage was able to count on impeccable management from both a logistical and technical point of view, helping to make the two days of judo a success for all participants and an important opportunity for growth for the Yoshinryu Judo dojo of Bordighera.
