Two years of links between the supermarket chain and the purple club, whose first team it already gives its name to.
The presidents of Súper Agropal and <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/03/routes-and-sports-all-the-news-from-palencia/" title="Routes and sports | All the news from Palencia“>Palencia Baloncesto presented on Tuesday morning, on the hardwood of the Palencia Municipal Pavilion, the sponsorship agreement that will link both entities for two seasons. The first team of the basketball club will be officially called “Súper Agropal Palencia” from now on.
Luis Antonio Santos (Súper Agropal) and Gonzalo Ibáñez (Palencia Baloncesto) have spoken to the media about the connection of two entities that share roots in the land of Palencia and the commitment to its people. An alliance that will help both, through sport and commerce, to continue growing and building a better future for Palencia and Castilla y León.
Ibáñez, as host, highlighted that both share “values such as teamwork, effort, sustainability and the goal of growth. The idea is to innovate without losing our roots.”
Santos, for his part, added that “we share the same feeling, roots, values and a deep commitment to the land of Palencia” and that “we come together to grow together.”
The team will now wear the new image on its shirt in its next Primera FEB match, Saturday in Seville against Real Betis Baloncesto.
