Super League Scandal: Illegal Betting Shakes the Foundations as Two Clubs Face Disciplinary Action

Turkish Football Federation has taken a step regarding the illegal betting company advertisement that was on the agenda last week. In the PFDK referrals announced on the TFF official website, the following statement was included: Adana Demirspor and Gaziantep FK club presidents “due to mediating the broadcast of the advertisement of the company, which is claimed to be an illegal betting company, in the stadium”.

HERE IS THE STATEMENT FROM TFF:

The referral reports made by the Legal Consultancy Office to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board on 29.10.2024 are stated below.

ADANA DEMİRSPOR A.Ş. It has been decided to refer Club President BEDİRHAN DURAK to the PFDK as a precautionary measure as of 29.10.2024, in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction, due to “intermediating the publication of the advertisement of the company, which is claimed to be an illegal betting company, in the stadium” in the same competition.

GAZİANTEP FOOTBALL CLUB A.Ş. Club President MEMİK YILMAZin the same competition “intermediary in broadcasting the advertisement of an alleged illegal betting company in the stadium” Due to this reason, it has been decided to be referred to PFDK as a precautionary measure as of 29.10.2024, in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.
