For five days, the noise of table tennis balls continued to emit on the tables in Linz (Austria), for the European championships of the discipline. During this continental competition, the two brothers Alexis and Félix Lebrun were eagerly awaited, and were present.
Singles and doubles medals for France
If they won together in doubles, the eldest of the Alexis siblings also won the gold medal in the singles event, thus achieving a historic double. Two medals gleaned this Sunday, October 20 which are added to the list of achievements of the young 21-year-old table tennis player. In mixed doubles, the French Simon Gauzy and Prithika Pavade obtained bronze, beaten in the semi-finals.
Among the women, the Austrian Sofia Polcanova won at home. Romanian Bernadette Szocs had a rather sad end in both singles and doubles. After two good rounds, the 29-year-old table tennis player lost in her two finals and will only bring home silver medals.
