Table tennis: the Lebrun brothers crowned European doubles champions

They are European champions for the first time! The French Félix and Alexis Lebrun were crowned in doubles this Sunday in Linz (Austria). Two months after their two Olympic medals – in singles for Félix et by teams with Simon Gauzy -, the Montpellier residents left no chance to the Swedes Anton Kallberg-Truls Moregard 3-0 (11-2, 11-6, 11-8). The two brothers, licensed at the Alliance Nîmes-Montpellier Table Tennis club, have exploded with joy at the end of the match.

The two brothers, aged 18 and 21won the first European title in men’s doubles for France since 2004 and the victory of Patrick Chila and Jean-Philippe Gatien in Bremen. Alexis Lebrun will face the German Benedikt Duda at the end of the afternoon to win a singles title.
