Rebecca Marino won her third title of the season at the Calgary National Bank Challenger.
Marino defeated American Anna Rogers 7-5, 6-4.
Marino was almost perfect during the week, losing only one set during her final four against young Canadian Cadence Brace. In the final, Marino broke her rival on six occasions and sealed the victory in 90 minutes. Thanks to this triumph, Marino moves a little closer to the Top-100.
She is expected to rise to 118th in the world when the new rankings are published on Monday.
On the men’s side, Murphy Cassone of the United States defeated his compatriot Govind Nanda in sets of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
